Three Akhal-Tekes on Show in Beijing (CRIENGLISH.com)

In ancient China, people called the Akhal-Tekes “horses that sweat blood”. They have great endurance and can be used to compete in horse races and equestrianism.

A Chinese civil organization bought them from Turkmenistan. Two of them are female, one a lovely golden colour. The male horse is sleek black with four white hoofs.

Turkmenistan has presented two Akhal-Tekes to China in the past, now there are five in the country.

This article is from 2002 when Ahdash was presented to China.
And a cute article about weddings in China, where the bridal and groom can ride Akhal-Tekes to feel like a “prince and princess”.

How does the registration of Akhal-Tekes in Turkmenistan work?

I have “heard” that there is a large amount of English Thoroughbred blood in them in order to give them an advantage at racing.

I like the golden buckskin mare.
The way of managing akhal teke breed by turkmen authorities is for me a big mystery …All is hidden in Turkmenistan, horses and maybe their purity…There are so many contradictions in this country !

    3. Black mare – Ongayly (Murgab – Oprava), from Stavropol stud.

The journalist has made bad translation. The Chinese buyers advertised horses, as Turkmen breed. But not as the horses, brought from Turkmenistan.

O! A policy. Also argue, that there are German breeds (Oldenburger, Hanoveranner and others. There are French breeds (Trotters, Percheron and others). There are Russian breeds (Don, Budenov, Tersk and others). And there are also those breeds, which have initially been deduced in Turkmenistan. Russian and Polish Arabs – also were the Best. But the native land of Arabs as breeds – not Russia and not Poland. So and with Akhal-teke.

We are everybody know many breeds: akhalteke, arab, thoroughbred and so on. Nobody knows russian or polish arab breeds, turkmen breed, chines thoroughbred. All over the world are known uniqe akhalteke, arab and other real names of breeds. Akhalteke hors wich was born in Japan can has more quality then another which was born in Russia or Turkmenistan.

Actually, Russian and Polish Arabians are very well known – my favourite types!!! I had a Polish Arab and if I didn’t get into Akhal-Tekes I would have got a Russian Arabian.

Not breeds – just some great breeding at specific locations that now is sought after.
