Akhal-Teke Event Horse of the Year (ATAA)

View the jumping training videos from AkhalTexas!

In Solms in a free jumping championship September 15/16 2007: 16 horses participated, 3 were akhal-tekes, Altair, Ovoi and Daimir. They placed 1st, 2nd & 3rd and jumped over 2 meters. official results

I have heard that Posman was a very good show jumping horse. Does anyone have his records?

I am hoping that perhaps the Akhal-Teke Horse Association will start keeping performance records?!

Here is a video of Akhal-Tekes at a jumping competition:

you were so right Leonid! They were free jumping at that competition. I’m glad I found the official results!

Hopefully we can get some confirmed heights that they are currently jumping at under riders.

All horses, which are presented here, have not even one deserving mention result in the show-jumping equestrian. May be they have potential, but we can see that after 140 level.

I wonder if there are no jumping results because of the cost of campaigning or if perhaps Akhal-Tekes are not in general jumpers. The historical jumpers Arab and Poligon would clear over 2m, but have any Akhal-Tekes since? The next recent jumper seems to be Arslan whose record is 192cm.

What were Man, Kovem and Karamashal jumping? Are there any Akhal-Tekes currently competing over 140cm?
