    For me lines are just references, and not an important part of breeding. They are theoretical only.

    to see the horse’s breeding one must look at their sire (50%) and dam (50%) , their grandparents (25%), and then their great grandparents (12.5%); as each contributes equally (with mtDNA coming from the dam line of coarse).
