		<description>The Pontecorvos told us that Maruk hit his hind while going over a jump.  A while later, they noticed a slight growth on his leg.  The growth increased and they consulted with several veterinarians.  The latter recommended not to operate since he was not showing any signs of lameness and since Maruk is a very valuable breeding stallion.  The growth has not changed size in the last few years.  It is hard, appears to be a calcification lump.</description>

		<description>They don&#039;t know, he never went lame on it and it doesn&#039;t bother him so the vet said to leave it. I think they are assuming it will eventually be reabsorbed.</description>
