These are photos from Guillermo Lockhart (Willy) of his stallion Dutar in the show in Uruaguay. The young guy riding him is Pio Olascoaga Amaya, one of the best endurance riders in the World. Pio postponed his Dubai trip to present Dutar, he will be working there for 7 months. Right now Dutar is going to be standing at stud for a couple months and then he will be trained for endurance by Pio’s team.

TITLE: PAINT BREED DEMOSTRATED ITS VALIDITY AND AKHAL TEKE BREED MADE ITS DEBUT

A great sensation was the debut of the Akhal Teke Breed, where the winner was a senior stallion presented by Lockhart Quintana Brothers.

The judge, Dr. Fernando Perdigon, said that the Breed is entering with great success to the United States in show jumping, endurance and three days event competitions.

This horse that came from the States, is a stallion 10 years old, and after a couple of months of breeding season, will be trained to compete in endurance.

The breed is one of the oldest and survived to centuries of wars, economic and political oppression. Today it is being used to cross with other breeds to contribute with its courage and resistance.

The horse is in excellent shape in spite of having to support two quarantines. The owner, that predicted an enormous future for the breed, said that the horse left Texas by truck to Miami, where he was in a quarantine station and then at his arrival, another one in Uruguay.
