the upcoming 1,200m race in Pardubice is the first for purebred Akhal-Tekes being held outside Russia and Turkmenistan. Turkoman horse races are also popular in Iran, hopefully they will soon be held throughout many more regions. Meet the horses:

Omair Hussain Al Beloushi on 11-year-old Charlandre Al Sharif set a world record for a 160-km endurance race. And they did it in style with incredible recoveries. Talk about a training program!! Congratulations!

Races I could find results of from 2006-2007. Of note to me is that Melebajdak is consistently doing well and that Ajax does well at both shorter and longer distances, Godzar is still running at 9 years old, and it also looks like Argamak is on a winning streak:
